Doctoral Colloquium
Call for Papers Now Open!
We are excited to welcome paper submissions to the ANZMAC 2026 Doctoral Colloquium. This is a fantastic opportunity to present your research in a supportive environment, gain valuable feedback from senior faculty, and connect with peers from around the world.
The ANZMAC Doctoral Colloquium (DC) is designed for students at all stages of their doctoral research. It provides marketing doctoral students with an opportunity to gain valuable experience presenting their work to an audience, receive constructive feedback, and network with peers, leading marketing academics, and mentors. The DC aims to foster research excellence and critical thinking. It also seeks to enhance doctoral students’ understanding of contemporary issues and challenges in marketing and to encourage them to question existing paradigms. The program promotes lively and constructive discourse, helping students to further develop their research skills and advance their research projects.
To apply for the DC, students must submit an extended abstract of 750–1,000 words (excluding references), using the DC paper submission template below and submitting via the doctoral colloquium paper submission link. Early-stage students (typically those who have not yet defended their research proposal or completed a related milestone) should focus on their intended research question, the significance of the problem (Introduction and Research Aims), and their proposed research design (Background and/or Conceptual Model and (Proposed) Methodology). Late-stage students are also encouraged to present preliminary findings as well as contributions to theory and practice. DC attendees may choose to present their research at the main ANZMAC conference; however, they are expected to present a different facet of their research at the Doctoral Colloquium, given the different audience.
Students will be notified of their acceptance into the DC based on the submitted extended abstract. Along with the acceptance notification, they will receive a registration link for the DC. Accepted students are then required to submit a more detailed document by 30 September 2026. The purpose of this document is to provide mentors with a comprehensive overview of the research and to allow students to identify two or three specific aspects on which they would like feedback and discussion. The recommended length of this document is 3,000–6,000 words (excluding references), although it may be shorter depending on the nature of the research and the areas of focus. Assigned mentors will provide feedback on the work during the DC presentation.
